The Presbyterian Church of Radford welcomes Pastor Morgan Whitfield as its new Pastor
The Presbyterian Church of Radford is excited to announce the calling of Pastor Morgan Whitfield as our new Pastor. Pastor Whitfield and his wife Gwen are coming to Radford from Forest, VA. Their first Sunday at PCR will be March 3.
Pastor Whitfield has served Forest Presbyterian Church as Pastor and Head of Staff since 2009. Prior to his service there, he served as Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Donalsonville, GA. Pastor Whitfield received his BA with distinction in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia, and his Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education. He has studied at U California-Berkeley, Notre Dame University, U Miss, U Bern (Switzerland), and currently is working on his Doctorate of Ministry in Gospel and Culture from Columbia Theological Seminary.
Pastor Whitfield is a leader in worship and pastoral care, a strong communicator and collaborator, a believer in strategy and vision, and a lifelong learner. He is warm, personable, and is looking forward to meeting the members of our congregation as he joins our community. We are excited about beginning this new chapter in the life of our church, which will celebrate its 150th anniversary this year.
