Missions supported by the Presbyterian Church of Radford include:

Angel Tree In November, church members select "angels" specifying a particular gift a needy individual would like to have. The gifts are purchased and wrapped and delivered at Christmas.
Apple Tree Beginning in June, church members select "apples" specifying school supply items which are purchased and provided to children of families served by the Women's Resource Center.

A project of the Radford Clothing Bank, this program provides free new clothes to needy Radford school children so they can begin the new school year "looking good" in their new clothes and shoes.
Beans and Rice www.beansandrice.org A local community development organization that provides Community Development and Learning Centers for an underserved populations of Central Appalachia.
Blanket and Tools offering Collected each February, this offering supports disaster assistance throughout the world.
Christmas Joy Gift Offering During Advent, members give generously to a Presbyterian fund that supports former servants of the church who are on inadequate pensions and also supports minority education.
Elf Shelf Beginning in October, our church members join other churches in providing new children's toys and gifts to stock the elf shelves where needy families can do their Christmas "shopping."
Equal Exchange Coffee Project www.equalexchange.com Delicious fair-traded coffee is always available for purchase in the church lounge. This coffee is produced by democratically-run farmer cooperatives in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Food Pantry A Radford/Fairlawn MInisterial Association project, the pantry supplies non-perishable foods to the hungry. The pantry is at the Radford Department of Social Services and is stocked by area churches.

Our church begins collecting food in May and is responsible for supplying the pantry during the month of June.

A Greater Gift

A program of SERRV International, A Greater Gift provides fair trade handcrafts and foods from around the world, promoting living wages, women's rights and eco-friendly production through partnerships with small-scale artisan and farmer groups. Greater gift products are available in our SERRV Christmas shops in time for Christmas shopping.

Heifer International http://www.heifer.org/ Through gifts of lifestock and training, Heifer International works ith communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.

Presbyterian Church of Radford joins Blacksburg Presbyterian and Cooper House in hurricane relief work in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
Mother's Day, Father's Day offering Support Fellowship Fund for Sunnyside Communities. Helps ensure that no resident will be forced to leave due to lack of funds.
One Great Hour of Sharing Each Easter, our church joins millions of other Christians in receiving an offering to support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives, and work together to strengthen their families and communities
Peacemaking Offering Collected on World Communion Sunday (the first Sunday in October), Peacemaking offerings support peacemaking efforts locally (25% of the offering is used locally) and throughout the world.
Radford Clothing Bank http://www.radfordclothingbank.org Supported by 14 local churches, the Clothing Bank near Bissett Park in Radford supplies free clothing to needy New River Valley residents and offers great bargains for paying customers.

During the month of June, our church provides staffing on Thursday and Saturday mornings. Church members also volunteer on Wednesday throughout the year.

Radford Fairlawn Daily Bread http://www.radfordpl.org/dailybread/ This project provides hot meals each noon, Monday through Friday, to anyone needing a meal and fellowship around a friendly table. It also provides Meals-on-Wheels to needy homebound folks in Radford and Fairlawn.
Stork Exchange Maternity and baby clothes and baby equipment are available on loan to anyone needing them. The Stork Exchange is located at the Radford Clothing Bank
Ten Cents per Meal offering Offering given the last Sunday of each month. Supports hunger projects
